STUDENT MIDWIVES

Training future midwives is a responsibility we take very seriously. Our team is passionate about seeing this profession grow, and each of us is honored to teach the art of midwifery to the next generation. Each of our students have much to offer our birthing families, and we know you'll enjoy their presence as much as we do!

Melody Glogovsky

Hello, my name is Melody Glogovsky and I am a student at Redding Midwifery Group. I grew up in the Central Valley of California, the 5th child of 7. Growing up with 5 sisters and a little brother was fun and as we grow up I love to remain in close contact with my sweet family, even though we are spread across the U.S. Having two younger siblings and nieces and nephews introduced me to newborns and birth stories at a young age.

I moved to Redding fall of 2022 to start my preceptorship with Naomi. I am in my second year of my bachelor's degree in Science Midwifery at Mercy in Action College of Midwifery. I have had a passion for midwifery since I was 15 and eagerly started attending college for my degree after high school. I love how midwifery is so specific to pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum and I also love the "natural" aspect of it. Birth can be one of the hardest and most intense times one may experience but I love how the midwifery model of care teaches us our bodies are beautifully designed for creating and giving birth to tiny humans. It has been wonderful to be a part of several births and experience first hand the love that is seen in a mother while she works so hard for her child.
